The Department of Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) provides comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical care for disorders of the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck. The department is dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care through modern diagnostic facilities, advanced surgical interventions, and evidence-based clinical practice. In addition to its clinical services, the department plays a vital role in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and training.


Clinical Services

The department offers comprehensive outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and operative services for a wide spectrum of otological, rhinological, laryngological, and head & neck conditions. Patients are managed through a multidisciplinary approach utilizing modern diagnostic and therapeutic modalities.

  • Head and neck swellings and tumors
  • Salivary gland disorders
  • Thyroid diseases requiring surgical management

Audiology Services

The department houses a well-equipped Audiology Unit offering comprehensive hearing assessment services, including:

  • Pure Tone Audiometry (PTA)
  • Tympanometry
  • Brainstem Evoked Response Audiometry (BERA)

These facilities assist in the accurate diagnosis and management of hearing impairment and middle ear disorders in both pediatric and adult patients.

Surgical Facilities

The department has access to a fully equipped Operation Theatre with a Carl Zeiss Operating Microscope, enabling the performance of advanced microscopic and endoscopic ENT procedures.

Both major and minor surgical procedures are routinely performed with adherence to contemporary surgical standards and patient safety protocols.
