NUCLEAR MEDICINE

Nuclear Medicine

The Department of Nuclear Medicine at Shri Ramkrishna Institute of Medical Sciences & Sanaka Hospitals offers advanced molecular imaging services that enable early detection, accurate staging, and precise treatment monitoring of various diseases, particularly cancer.

At the heart of the department is the uMI Vista Digital 160-Slice PET-CT System, a state-of-the-art hybrid imaging platform that combines high-resolution anatomical imaging with sensitive molecular detection. This advanced digital technology allows superior image quality, faster acquisition times, and improved diagnostic confidence.

PET-CT Imaging Services

We provide:

FDG PET-CT (Fluorodeoxyglucose PET-CT)

Widely used in oncology for detection, staging, restaging, and treatment response assessment across multiple malignancies, as well as selected infectious and inflammatory conditions.

PSMA PET-CT

A highly sensitive imaging modality primarily used in the evaluation of prostate cancer for staging, recurrence detection, and therapy planning.

Clinical Applications

The PET-CT services support multiple specialties, including:

  • Oncology
  • Urology
  • Radiation Oncology
  • Internal Medicine
  • Surgical Oncology

By combining metabolic and anatomical imaging in a single examination, PET-CT enhances diagnostic accuracy and facilitates individualized treatment planning.

Commitment to Precision & Patient Safety

The department adheres to stringent radiation safety protocols and operates under expert supervision by qualified nuclear medicine specialists and trained technologists. Advanced digital detector technology ensures optimized radiation dosing while maintaining superior image quality.

Through cutting-edge molecular imaging and a patient-centered approach, the Department of Nuclear Medicine plays a pivotal role in comprehensive cancer care and precision diagnostics at SRIMS & Sanaka Hospitals.
